En Kutaisi, la segunda ciudad más grande de
Georgia, se creó en 1973 el grupo de danza folclórica georgiana sobre la base
del departamento coreográfico de la escuela cultural-educativa de A. Vasadze.
El conjunto fue dirigido por los famosos coreógrafos
de la época, Bukhuti Darakhvelidze y Gulo Mikadze.
Desde ese momento, el grupo ha tenido un buen programa de conciertos gracias a sus laboriosos profesores fuera de sus fronteras.
Entre 1973-1990 nuestro grupo participó en
diferentes festivales y conciertos solistas en Rusia, Bulgaria, Ucrania, Bielorrusia
y Rumania.
En 1991 Georgia obtuvo su independencia. El grupo
de baile comenzó a ser dirigido por uno de los jóvenes bailarines, Gigla Tsagareishvili. El conjunto se llama "Rioni".
Agrupó diferentes tipos regionales de danzas
georgianas e hizo un nuevo programa que presentó a diferentes países como
Bulgaria-Rumania en 1992, Turquía - 1993, Polonia - 1995, Turquía - 2000,
Italia - 2001, España - Bélgica - 2002, Dinamarca - 2007, Dinamarca - Turquía -
2008, Portugal - 2009, Australia - 2011, Turquía- 2012, Italia- 2013, España-Hungría-
2014, España-2015.
El grupo "Rioni" ha ganado diferentes premios en varios festivales internacionales.
Tiene algunos músicos famosos y reconocidos como
Omar Darsadze, George Tsikoridze o Zaza Cheishvili.
Los miembros del conjunto, que están dispuestos a mostrar su arduo trabajo, colaboran con éxito con Gigla Tsagareishvili y Shmagi Lomashvili.
Actualmente, el conjunto está llevando a cabo el trabajo de la Federación Regional de Dancesport de Imereti.
In Kutaisi, the second largest city of Georgia, a Georgian folk dance group was once created on the basis of the choreographic department of A. Vasadze’s cultural-educational school. It happened in the year 1973. The ensemble was directed by the famous choreographers of that time, Bukhuti Darakhvelidze and Gulo Mikadze.
From that point on, the group has had a good concert program thanks to its industrious teachers.
The Georgian folk dances have always been a particular favorite not only in Georgia, but also outside its borders. In 1973-1990 our group participated in different festivals and solo-concerts in Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belorussia and Romania.
In 1991 Georgia gained its independence. The dance group started to be managed by one of the young dancers from this group, Gigla Tsagareishvili. The ensemble was called “Rioni”. He grouped different regional kinds of Georgian dances together and made a new program which he introduced to different countries. Here they are: Bulgaria-Romania in 1992, Turkey - 1993, Poland – 1995, Turkey -2000, Italy -2001, Spain-Belgium – 2002, Denmark – 2007, Denmark-Turkey – 2008, Portugal – 2009, Australia – 2011, Turkey- 2012, Italy- 2013, Spain-Hungary- 2014, Spain-2015.
The group “Rioni” has won quite a few prizes and awards in various festivals. It has some famous and qualified musicians Omar Darsadze, George Tsikoridze, Zaza Cheishvili.
Most importantly, the ensemble members, who are ready to show their hard work, successfully collaborate with Gigla Tsagareishvili and Shmagi Lomashvili.
Presently, the ensemble is carrying on the work under the Imereti Regional Dancesport Federation.
